SEO and Google’s Search Algorithm Updates

As SEO professionals, it is important to keep afloat of Google’s recent search algorithm updates.  The latest was released in March time, and was named Fred.  This update took a good look at the quality and quantity of content on websites.  Fred has forced many companies to add more content to their pages, which is relevant and valuable to readers and visitors.

The quantity of content never used to be an issue, however now that Fred is in force, businesses are noticing that pages which do not have a good text:html ratio (around 15% is good) are starting to slip down the rankings.  It is definitely worth adding more text content to your sites, as Fred is definitely on the look out for sites which do not have enough good quality content.
