ITDG (Intermediate Technology and Development Group) has asked Cottier & Sidaway to design its Christmas Cards and Gifts brochure. Also available as a PDF file for download from their website, it includes an order form and shows, in full colour, a range of Christmas cards, a calendar and, as a real alternative to conventional Christmas presents, supporters of the charity can purchase special gifts such as a fishing net for £15 to help a family in Bangladesh to catch enough food to feed themselves and to sell for a sustainable living. Other gifts include a wind turbine for people in Sri Lanka to access electricity, and clay storage pots for families to preserve food in the Sudan. In return, ITDG send a special card detailing the gift for you to forward to your loved one.

ITDG is an international non-governmental organisation which specialises in helping people to use technology for practical answers to poverty and Cottier & Sidaway has been working with them on a range of design projects since 1996. Cottier & Sidaway has also produced a Christmas card brochure for the Family Holiday Association, the holiday charity for families in need. With four designs in the range, proceeds of sales will go to the FHA who this year provided 1,100 holiday grants for disadvantaged families.
